Even though I only worked full-time at The Nerdery for a short time (I still blog from them on a contract basis), while I was there I got the opportunity to work on the branding of the partner program division, Nerdery Interactive Labs. I’ve been working on the web since 2000 and never before had I ever heard a bunch of web developers say “oh sure, that’s no problem” or “we can totally do that” when asked if some idea was possible. Those nerds are crazy talented.

It never ceases to amaze me when a designer can take my direction and create what I had pictured in my head. That was the case with the Paint Shop Pro Photo Studio, a community site designed for Paint Shop Pro users. These kinds of projects where I get to influence the design and write the copy, especially when it’s for the Web, are my absolute favorites.
The gallery area features the work of Paint Shop Pro users. One of the best things about writing this community site was talking with the customers about their work.
